The aim of this conference is to convey the fundamentals of international humanitarian law and action. From its roots to contemporary conflicts.

The two years of devastation in Gaza probably mark a turning point in the world, accompanied by a moral collapse. Without denying the victims of dozens of other ferocious armed conflicts, Gaza embodies the denial of Humanity. Yet Humanity remains the overarching principle that has shaped international humanitarian law and action. The denial of Humanity is the negation of both humanitarian space and the law protecting all victims indiscriminately.
